Full Recipe:
Ingredients
-
28 oz frozen Tater Tots
-
6 oz cheese curds
-
2 cups beef broth
-
4 tbsp unsalted butter
-
4 tbsp all-purpose flour
-
½ tsp garlic powder
-
½ tsp onion powder
-
1 tsp Better than Bouillon (beef flavor)
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
Chopped parsley or chives, for garnish
Directions
-
Make the Gravy:
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add flour and whisk constantly for about 2 minutes to form a roux.
Gradually add half of the beef broth, whisking to avoid lumps. Then add the remaining broth, along with garlic powder, onion powder, and Better than Bouillon.
Bring the mixture to a boil, whisking until it thickens and becomes smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside and keep warm. -
Cook the Tater Tots:
Preheat your air fryer to 400℉ for 5 minutes.
Place the frozen tater tots in the air fryer basket in a single layer, without overcrowding.
Air fry for 15–20 minutes, shaking halfway through, until they’re golden brown and crispy. -
Assemble the Poutine:
Transfer hot tater tots to a serving dish.
Immediately sprinkle the cheese curds over the tots.
Pour the hot gravy over the top, allowing the cheese to melt slightly for that gooey, delicious finish.
Garnish with chopped parsley or chives if desired. Serve immediately.
