Air fryer frozen plantains are a quick and easy way to enjoy Puerto Rican sweet plantains, also known as Maduros. With the help of an air fryer, you can cook them to perfection in just minutes, making them a great side dish to pair with various meals. These frozen plantains are already fried and flash-frozen, so no need to thaw before cooking, saving you time and effort.

Ingredients

  • 11 oz Goya frozen plantains (or your preferred brand)

  • Guacamole (optional, for serving)

Directions

  1. Remove the frozen plantains from the packaging.

  2. Place the frozen plantains in a single layer in the air fryer basket.

  3. Set the air fryer to 350°F (180°C) and cook for 6-7 minutes. You can flip them halfway through if cooking more than one pack.

  4. Serve with your favorite side dish or sauce, such as guacamole, scrambled eggs, or beans.
    Alternatively, you can bake them in the oven at 350°F (180°C) for 7-10 minutes or microwave on high for 3-3.5 minutes.
